[JUNE] Editor’s Choice: A Tribute to Kaia Gerber’s Magnificent Curls

For this month’s pick, our team is focusing on the most glamorous red carpet event of the year. We have all been waiting for the main event of the fashion season that is held on the first Monday of May aka The MET Gala. Attendees are handpicked by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, ranging from celebrities, models and industry paradigms. On such a prestigious fashion event, all attendees will be outdoing themselves in terms of fashion to be the next trendsetter. The 2022 MET Gala theme, ‘Gilded Glamour’, emboldens guests to interpret 19th-century clothing and style in a modern sense. 

When the night arrived, we were not disappointed. Instead, we were in awe by the array of beauty sweeping through the steps of the MET. Stars are blinding us with millions of dollars’ worth of fine jewellery, glowing skin and glorious hairstyles! As celebrities make their way up the MET steps, stopping ever so often to pose for the cameras, one particular attendee definitely caught our eyes.

As Kaia Gerber stepped on the red carpet, all eyes were on her. Although stunning in a shimmering number by Alexander McQueen, her long thick pre-Raphaelite curls stole the show. 

Arranged by renowned hairstylist Guido Palau, auburn curls flowed over Kaia’s shoulders and down her back. Parted in the middle, Guido secured each side of her hair with diamond and pearl adorned hair clasps, leaving small curled face-framing pieces to highlight Kaia’s prominent features. With a few extensions to add considerable volume to her curls, Kaia looks like she just walked out from a pre-Raphaelite painting.
